About Daniel Wu
Daniel Wu is a multifaceted artist who hopes to inspire a greater appreciation for the beauty of this world. Working in both the visual and musical fields, he uses both practices to share the way he sees the world.
Born into a family of artists and musicians, Daniel Wu has been immersed in the world of the arts from as early as he could remember. He grew up in Shanghai, China, where he began learning the Piano at age 6, and 3 years later he picked up the French Horn. Shortly following that, Daniel ventured into the art of photography through his Dad, who gave him his old cameras to play with.
Since moving to the US from Shanghai, Daniel has ceaselessly worked on his artistic pursuits. He has played in various youth orchestras around the East coast (Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, Youth Symphony of NEC, Philadelphia Youth Orchestra), and he created a short film “Faces of the Past” which became one of the official selections of the 2020 All American High School Film Festival. Today, he pursues a double-major degree in French Horn Performance and Recording Arts at Peabody Institute while continuing his photographic endeavors whenever he isn’t playing horn or in the recording studio.
